Skin deserves the best and home made with natural ingredients means you are in control of what goes onto your body. You decide which oils and butters you want to use. Recipes can be adjusted to suit allergies. You will be surprised how easy it is to formulate a blend that can be safe for you or your little ones.



Solid Body Lotion Bars

Easy to make and simply perfect for winter.


You will need:

* 0.5 oz. Soy wax

* 2 oz. Beeswax or Carnauba (vegan)

* 1.5 oz. Cocoa butter or Shea or mango butter

* 2 oz. oil Grapeseed oil or Olive or Coconut or Rice bran etc...

* 2 tablespoon Corn starch or Tapioca

* Microwave -safe pouring jug

* Microwave

* Spoon

* a few drops #essential or fragrance oil

* Mold (Ice cube, silicone muffin etc...

* whisk

* tin for finished product (Daiso has great options)


Here’s how to do it:

  1. Measure all the ingredients.

  2. Put the soy wax, beeswax and cocoa butter into the jar and microwave for 25 seconds.

  3. Stir and put back into the microwave for another 25 seconds. Repeat until all the ingredients have melted and mixed through.

  4. Begin to whisk and add your choice of oil, and max 5 drops of essential oil.

  5. Add the corn starch, keep whisking until you reach a creamy smooth texture.

  6. Pour into the mold and leave for 5 hours. Un-mold and place in your cute new container.

Do not leave in the car or out in the sun! I speak from experience.


To use, simple rub the bar onto the skin or between you hands as the heat from your body will make it soft.


TIP: Double or triple the recipe because it's going to be glorious.


Delicious Rose Body Butter

Heavenly for dry skin. When formulating for children limit or omit the essential oil.


You will need:

* 1 cup Sea butter (raw is better as most of the nutrients are lost when it has been processed.

* 1/2 cup Grape seed oil.

* 1 capsule vitamin E.

* 1/4 cup Sweet #Almond oil. (Olive oil if allergic to nuts).

* up tp 25 drops #Rose essential oil

* Either a Kitchen Aid, mixer or hand held blender.

* Double boiler (or bowl that fits onto a pot of water on the stove top)

* Spoon and spatula

* Measuring cups ( 1 cup, 1/2 and 1/4)

* Isopropyl spray (70%)

* Jars (Daiso or Ace)

* Fridge and stove top. (kitchen)


Here’s how to do it:

Before you begin sterilize the jar with the isopropyl. (Spritz and leave to air dry)

  1. Measure all the ingredients. Heat water in the pot until small bubbles appear. Place the bowl or double boiler pot on top.

  2. Heat the butters gently in the double boiler or bowl. Check if there are any items in the raw Shea butter and remove.

  3. Once melted add the Grape seed oil and stir. Remove from the heat and add the Vitamin E capsule, Almond/Olive oil and essential oil. Keep stirring.

  4. Place the bowl in the fridge for approx. 30 minutes. Check after 20 to see if the texture and color has changed.

  5. Remove the bowl and mix on low speed for 1 minute, increase the speed and mix until light and fluffy (think meringue texture here).

  6. Scoop into sterilized jar.

  7. A little goes a long way and the raw Shea butter has remarkable healing properties.

To use, simply scoop out and rub onto your skin. Can be used on the face as a night cream (warning super rich not for normal to oily skin).


TIP: Place some of the mixture into a small carry around container as it's divine for cracked heels, cuticles or dry lips.
